The Night of the Boogie Man
The moon hung low, its glow so bright,
A night for monsters, a curious sight.
Their chores were done, the gory mess,
Now time for bonding, no more stress.
Once upon a time, the tales unfurled,
Of boogie men and creatures of the underworld. Snakes and lizards, when the owl hoots “who,” Cricket chimes broken by a ghostly “boo.”
But princesses and fairies?
Oh, what a fright!
Monsters big and scary, they’d rather fight. Spooky menace startled them, wide-eyed, Jumping up with a rambunctious pride.
Chests puffed out, monsters unafraid,
Facing ghosts and ghouls, their courage displayed.
As wind-blown flames danced near,
They huddled together, quelling their fear.
