Blue's Epic Ocean Cleanup

This story is an adaptation of the story of Poseidon from The Iliad and the Odyssey, and the “Samudra Manthan” from the Mahabharata. The ending was formulated with the help of Google Ai.

Blue Gets Swallowed Whole By His Father

Blue was swallowed whole by his father at birth. His father, a very wealthy king, was always afraid of running out of things, so he wanted more and more. He took and took from the earth with its plants and fruits, the ocean with its fish, and the sky with its birds and clouds. This caused the oceans to be filled with plastic. The whales swallowed plastic bags and bottles, the sea turtles choked on plastic fishing nets, and many fish were poisoned by chemicals dumped into the ocean.

When his brother was about to be born, the mother, unable to contain her grief, asked her parents, the Earth, and the Starry Sky, for help. Her parents hid her, and when her baby was born, they took him in the black of the night and hid him in a remote cave. To her husband, she gave only a great stone wrapped in a baby blanket. The king took it in his hands and thrust it down into his belly, not knowing that in place of the stone, his son was left behind and would soon overcome him by force and might and drive him from his throne.

Rescued By His Brother, Blue Wins The Ocean As
His Domain

The brother grew up strong and brave, cared for by his grandparents, defeated his father and saved his brother, Blue. Vanquished by such a clever plan and might of his own son, the King vomited up first the stone which he had swallowed last, and along with it, Blue. Blue needed a long bath in warm soapy water to rid himself of the smell of his father’s stomach bile from his own body.

Blue and his brother lived happily by the beach and won the ocean as his domain. He protected his family and neighbors and kept the beaches in his town clean. Blue, now strong and handsome, seduced many nymphs and mortal woman often in the guise of an animal or flowing water. He swam in the ocean for miles on end, spraying a mist through his blowhole every now and then.

Durvasa’s Curse

Once upon a time, there lived a powerful sage named Durvasa not far from the village where Blue ruled. One day, while wandering the earth in a state of ecstasy, Durvasa came upon a very attractive nymph of the air. After embracing the nymph, he demanded her heavenly wreath of flowers. The nymph gave the garland to the sage, who wore it on his brow.

Resuming his wanderings, Durvasa came across Indra riding his white elephant Airavata, attended by the gods. In his state of ecstasy, Durvasa threw the garland at Indra, who caught it and placed it on Airavata's head. The poor elephant, allergic to the pollen of the flowers, started to sneeze uncontrollably.

"Acchoo!" he went, "Acchoo, Acchoo, Acchoo!" and just could not stop! Finally, he threw off the garland to the ground with one of his seven trunks.

Durvasa, enraged to see his gift treated this way, cursed Indra that he too would be cast off his kingdom of the Earth, Heavens, and the Underworld just like the garland. Indra begged for forgiveness, but the sage would not budge. Seeing Indra in a compromised state, the demons warred against the gods.

The gods turned to Brahma for help. Brahma directed them to Vishnu. Vishnu, in turn, advised them to make friends with the demons and make a pact with them to churn the ocean for the elixir of immortality. Vishnu asked the gods to rest easy as the gods would win in the end if they worked together with Blue.

The gods knew that churning for elixir would dredge up all 199 million tons of plastic out of the depths of the ocean. All that plastic would pollute the elixir and dilute its potency. Indra's wife, Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth, fled. In turn, the gods started to lose money, since Lakshmi was the goddess of money. The moon that found light from the glow of the third eye of Forever Fuzzy vanished from the sky. The gods were desperate!

At the bottom of the sea lived a huge sea turtle named Kurma. Kurma balanced Mount Mandara on his shell. The gods borrowed a giant serpent, Vasuki, a beloved pet of Forever Fuzzy, to wrap around Mount Mandara to churn the ocean. The gods made a pact with the demons to share all the wealth that the ocean would yield, equally. Blue was entrusted to make sure the ocean plastic did not mingle with the elixir.

Churning The Cosmic Ocean For Immortality Elixir

And so, the gods seized the tail of Vasuki, while the demons were asked to grab his head. At first, the ocean yielded many precious gifts. Lakshmi appeared from the depths of the ocean, seated on a lotus flower. Indra, overjoyed to have her back, held her in a strong embrace. Next came Kamdhenu, the mother of all cattle. She had the face of a woman, the body of a cow, wings, and the tail of a peacock. She was the source of unlimited fresh, nourishing milk, free of antibiotics and additives.

From the depths of the ocean also sprang a divine flowering tree called the Parijat. Its flowers were white, with a tinge of orange at the stalk. Indra decided to keep this beautiful flowering tree with the enchanting fragrance for himself and planted it in his garden at his heavenly villa.

At first, the gods and demons shared the gifts of the ocean equally. As they continued to churn the ocean, however, heat began to rise, and sparks flew off Mount Mandara. The heat dried up all the rivers and streams, and many people died of thirst. The sun's heat scorched the crops.

Indra's white elephant, Airavat, drilled his seven trunks deep into the earth to draw groundwater. He sprayed the water over Mount Mandara through monsoon clouds, cooling the earth and restoring the rivers and streams. This made the crops grow and quenched the thirst of the people.

Vasuki’s Venom Poisons The Ocean Killing Marine Life

As the gods and demons continued to dredge the cosmic ocean, Vasuki the serpent grew tired. The gods and demons pulled her in opposite directions, and she began to foam at the mouth. Her venom spilled into the water, poisoning it, and killing many fish and marine mammals. Their bodies floated up, and the stench of their decomposition wafted over the beaches. People could no longer surf or bathe in the ocean.

In addition to the rotting bodies, tons of ocean plastic spilled over the sand and boardwalks. Blue had to think of a way to solve this huge problem. He went to his favorite spot on a gnarled cedar trunk by the ocean, where a bald eagle often circled overhead. He sat there day and night, but he could not find an answer.

Blue Seeks Help From
Forever Fuzzy

Blue sat on the gnarled trunk of the cedar tree, gazing out at the vast ocean. The once pristine blue waters were now a murky green, polluted by the toxins of Vasuki the serpent and the plastic waste of humans.

Blue knew he had to do something. He had to find a way to clean up the ocean and save it from destruction. He closed his eyes and concentrated, seeking the guidance of Forever Fuzzy.

When he opened his eyes, he saw Forever Fuzzy standing before him, his third eye glowing with wisdom.

"Forever Fuzzy," Blue said, "I need your help. I need to find a way to clean up the ocean."

Forever Fuzzy nodded. "I know, Blue. It is a great task, but it is one that must be done."

"But how?" Blue asked. "The ocean is so vast, and there is so much plastic in it."

"We must start by getting the humans involved," Forever Fuzzy said. "They are the ones who created this problem, so they must be the ones to help fix it."

"But how do we get them to help?" Blue asked. "They are so busy and distracted."

"We must show them the beauty of the ocean and help them to understand how important it is to protect it," Forever Fuzzy said. "We must also show them that there is hope for the ocean, and that it is possible to clean it up."

Blue nodded. "I understand," he said. "I will do my part to help."

Forever Fuzzy smiled. "I know you will," he said. "Now go and start your journey."

Blue stood up and walked away, determined to find a way to clean up the ocean. It was a daunting task, but Blue was determined to succeed. He knew that the future of the planet depended on it.

In collaboration with Google Ai from here on…Bionomic Bravehearts Heal the Waterways

So, Blue started his journey with only essentials in a trusty backpack. Along his journey, he turned to the humans who gathered around him.

"People of Earth," he said, "the ocean is in danger. It is polluted by your toxins and your plastic waste. If we do not act now, it will be too late."

Then he would hold his spray bottle high up and spray a magical mist on the Bionomic Bravehearts to awaken them to this new wave of enlightenment.

He also taught them about innovative ocean clean-up processes, such as:

Barrier systems that use floating barriers to trap plastic and other debris before it reaches the open ocean.

Skimming vessels that collect plastic and other debris from the surface of the ocean.

Undersea drones identify and remove plastic and other debris from the ocean floor.

Biodegradable materials that can be used to make disposable products, such as bags and utensils. These materials will break down naturally in the environment, reducing the amount of plastic that ends up in the ocean.

The humans listened intently. Blue’s words, along with Forever Fuzzy's unwavering support, inspired a surge of appreciation for the environment in the hearts and minds of the people. With the vision of the wise and powerful Forever Fuzzy, the people removed the toxins and plastic waste, restoring the ocean to its pristine glory.

The fish and marine creatures rejoiced, and the beaches were once again safe for all to enjoy, but Blue knew that the work was not yet done. Humans must learn to cherish and protect the ocean, for it is the source of all life.

Over time, the ocean began to heal. Even though the strife between the gods and demons continued, but the people on earth had learned a valuable lesson: there was no Planet B. The earth was a wondrous place, and it was up to humans to keep it that way.
